Meet Leslie
I was born and raised on Cape Cod, surrounded by the natural beauty that has always inspired me. From a young age, I developed a deep love for flowers, and it felt only natural that I’d pursue a career in floristry. My dream has always been to open my own flower shop, and after years of learning, growing, and gaining invaluable experience, that dream became a reality with Local Rose Floristry.
I began working at Wildflower of Provincetown in the summer of 2014 and returned every season until 2019. In 2022, I moved back home and had the opportunity to spend the final season with Wildflower before it permanently closed. Working alongside the incredibly talented owner/lead designer, Jeff Fresenius, and his partner, John Dougherty, was nothing short of inspiring. Jeff was not only a mentor but also a close friend who shared his wisdom and expertise, teaching me everything I know about floristry and running a business. Their support and guidance shaped the foundation of what Local Rose Floristry has become.
While attending college in Boston, I worked at Boston City Florist and Central Square Florist in Cambridge, MA. These experiences added another layer to my understanding of the floral world, enriching my designs and teaching me the true art of floristry.
Having always believed in the power of supporting local businesses, I’m beyond excited to offer weekly floral arrangements to businesses in Provincetown, Truro, and Wellfleet. Local Rose Floristry isn’t just a flower shop to me—it’s a way of giving back to the community that raised me and sharing my passion for flowers with others. I’m committed to creating unique, personalized arrangements that bring joy and beauty into the spaces where they’re placed.
